borderline-lesvos: "That is the worst - the political normality to lock people up"
In this interview, our colleagues from borderline-lesvos introduce our work on Lesvos; e.g. the "Welcome Office", where refugees are supported with bureaucratic and administrative hurdles and the "welcome lessons" for children. They also report on the negative impact of the change of government in Greece on the fundamental rights of refugees and asylum seekers. The current catastrophic situation on Lesvos in which the law has been simply suspended completely and in which human rights violations and racist attacks occur on a daily basis, leaves a deep mark on all those involved and casts a more than uncertain light on the future in Greece and throughout Europe.
