Afghanistan: Germany 'close to reaching deportation deal' with Taliban
The German government is getting closer to finding an agreement with Taliban leaders in Afghanistan about the deportation of criminal Afghans living in Germany. Experts say that the extension of deportations to other refugees cannot be ruled out. Until now, the Islamist regime was internationally isolated by the West, as the leadership disregards human rights, especially women's rights. Germany negotiations might pave the way for the gradual normalization of relations with the Talibans as other countries might initiate similar diplomatic agreements in the future. read more
