At least 69 migrants die in shipwreck

At least 69 migrants have died in a shipwreck off the coast of Mauritania. More than 70 people are still missing, according to the coast guard of the North-West African country. The authorities reported the boat had set off from the Gambian coast about a week ago. Around 160 people were on board. According to the coast guard, the boat capsized when the passengers saw the lights of a coastal town and moved to one side. read more
