Albanians paid by UK government to return to homeland

Some Albanian migrants repatriated after deportation from the UK were paid GBP 1,500 (over EUR 1,700) to leave the country. According to the BBC, these are people with legal records who enjoyed an incentive from the British government. Deportation flights to Abania have increased since Tirana signed a cooperation agreement with London last December to 'deter and hinder illegal immigration'. read more
