Lost in Europe wins Prize for investigating missing migrant children

The investigative project 'Lost in Europe' won the Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism 2024 for uncovering the disappearance of more than 50,000 unaccompanied child migrants across Europe between 2021 and 2023. The investigation revealed that on average 47 migrant children go missing every day after arriving in Europe. The project highlights serious gaps in documentation and fears that many missing children may be victims of trafficking and exploitation. read more
