Greeks' angry at migrants camps being cleared and want them BACK
In May Greek police evicted the refugee camp in Idomeni, but it took until June for smaller surrounding camps which had popped up to also be dismantled. Now locals are clamouring for the return of the refugees, claiming they boosted the economy. After the hoards of migrants set up shop nearby, they brought with them aid workers, volunteers, charity workers, security forces and more. The hundreds, if not thousands, of personnel all needed somewhere to stay, and so services in Polykastro were in high demands.
