EU-Council meeting: no compromises at the expense of refugee protection

As part of an alliance of more than 50 organisations, Amnesty International is calling on the German government to abandon its plans to reform the Common European Asylum System (CEAS). With a view to the meeting of EU interior ministers on 8 June 2023, the alliance appeals to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) to live up to her humanitarian responsibility and take her own coalition agreement seriously.
