On October 6, 2025, the United Nations Human Rights Council passed a new resolution on Sudan. The resolution extends the Fact-Finding Mission by one year to continue investigating ongoing crime. It condemns human rights and international humanitarian rights violations and points to "clear parallels" of the developments to violations and abuses in Darfur. Furthermore, it condemns the the ongoing escalation of violence and strengthens public reporting and debates. The German government is getting closer to finding an agreement with Taliban leaders in Afghanistan about the deportation of criminal Afghans living in Germany. Experts say that the extension of deportations to other refugees cannot be ruled out. Until now, the Islamist regime was internationally isolated by the West, as the leadership disregards human rights, especially women's rights.
