“I do not want the perpetrators to walk away unpunished”
Since April 15, 2023, a bloody civil war has been raging in Sudan between the army and the paramilitary militia RSF, in which at least 20,000 people have lost their lives. Mossaad Mohamed Ali, who heads the human rights organization African Centre for Justice and Peace Studies from Sweden, reports the most serious war crimes, including executions, torture and sexualized violence. Despite the extremely dangerous situation on the ground, the organization is documenting the crimes and hopes for a legal investigation in the future. read more
