For Syrian refugees, no end to the suffering in sight

With the harsh winter upon us, millions of refugees fleeing the war in Syria now find themselves in another life-threatening situation. When refugees first started arriving in Lebanon, they thought they would be there for a few weeks or months, but that time span has stretched into years. Many now fear their homes and lives in Syria have been destroyed forever. The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees has set up some camps for Syrian refugees but not enough to accommodate them all. read more
